Debra Fearnshaw completed a secondment to EPSRC in 2021 with another University of Nottingham secondee, Emma Hadfield-Hudson and together they developed a guide on Expectations for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, in consultation with the research community. These aim to help support the Engineering and Physical Sciences community to achieve greater equality, diversity and inclusion in their research environment and give some practical examples of how ED&I has been implemented. Debra’s day job is Projects Manager within the Faculty of Engineering at University of Nottingham, managing 2 EPSRC research projects.
