Dataset supports: Blay Esteban et al (2016) Three clean products from co-mingled waste using a novel hydrodynamic separator. International Journal of Sustainable Development and Planning, 11, (5), 792-803. The excel document presents the data obtained from samples taken during the feedstock trial on Wharf Road MRF and Pearce MRF. Removable contaminants are the grouping of Organics, Paper and Plastics which are elements that Aquavitrum’s sortation plant can target to be removed from the feedstock. To determine the level of contamination present in the feedstock, 10 kg of raw product were spread out onto a clean surface to the manual separation of particles into glass, metals, CSP (ceramics, stones, porcelain and pyro-ceramics), organics, papers (wood, paper and fabrics) and plastics (plastics, films and rubbers); and the latter recording of weights. This data is then directly used to create the figures.
