Comparing constructions of the classifying space for the fibre of the double suspension
The different constructions of a classifying space for the fibre of the double suspension by Gray and the authors are shown to be essentially the same, up to a homotopy equivalence. We go on to compare a variety of maps Ω 2S 2np+1⟶S 2np−1 that are of degree p on the bottom cell.
