Data for thesis titled: 'Additively Manufactured Porous Metamaterials: An Investigation of Mechanical Behaviour and the Effects of Geometry Variations within Uniform and Stochastic Lattices'
Data to support thesis including mechanical test data (compression tests, nanoindentation data), image analysis (height maps collected using Alicona, strut diameters on microscope) and relative density data (collected using mass and overall dimensions). This dataset contains: Data.xlsx: Sheet which contains the sheet name and corresponding figure/table numbers and sheets with the data that can be used to recreate the figures/tables Sheets are organised by the data type/test, SD means standard deviation. Height_Maps_Figs 3.4, 4.8, 4.9, 4.11, 5.8, 5.9.zip: Raw data of height distortion data taken from Alicona profilometer including image files created, both pre and post post-processsing. .txt files contain the information regarding data acquisition and the .xyz files contain the height data. Both can be viewed as a note file. height maps saved as .png files with the naming convention: strutdiameterbeforedecimal_strutdiameterafterdecimal_repeatnumber_.png. Files with BCC_C or BCCz_C are continously graded, BCC_R or BCCz_R are randomly graded with a disorder of 0.8, BCC_R or BCCz_R04 are randomly graded with a disorder of 0.4 and Both_R are a mixed of BCC and BCCz, randomly graded with a disorder of 0.8. Stress_Strain_Plots.zip: MATLAB figure files with all the stress strain plots. Data can be extracted from each figure files to run own analysis. Will need MATLAB to open. The zip file is divided into 2 folders, Uniform (Chapters 3 and 4) and Graded (Chapter 5). Stress_Strain_Data_All.csv: CSV file (can be opened in excel) with all processed stress strain data (arranged by sample as given in first row). Strain in % and stress in MPa.
