Dataset in support of the thesis 'Biogeochemical processes in the eastern Pacific sector of the Southern Ocean'
This dataset contains the biogeochemical observations used in support of my PhD thesis. It integrates measurements from multiple autonomous and observational platforms, including Biogeochemical Argo floats, Saildrone surface vehicle data, and Ocean Observatory Initiative (OOI) moorings and gliders, alongside discrete bottle samples used for calibration. The dataset includes physical, biogeochemical, and carbonate system variables (e.g. temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, pH, DIC, total alkalinity, and pCO₂), and has been quality controlled and processed to produce a consistent time series for the eastern Pacific sector of the Southern Ocean. It underpins analyses of carbonate chemistry variability, air–sea CO₂ fluxes, and biological productivity.
