Tumor debulking in combination with chemotherapy in multi-organ metastatic colorectal cancer: the ORCHESTRA randomized clinical trial
This randomized clinical trial evaluated whether adding tumor debulking to palliative chemotherapy improves overall survival for patients with multiorgan metastatic colorectal cancer.

Colorectal cancer is common and often spreads to other organs. Multiorgan metastatic disease is difficult to treat, and survival remains limited. Tumor debulking—reducing the total amount of tumor—is often combined with chemotherapy, but there is limited prospective evidence that this improves survival.
