Proyecto Sargazo - Cuaderno para alumnos de primero de secundaria
The National Autonomous University of Mexico, the Autonomous University of the State of Quintana Roo and the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom conduct research related to sargassum. This research includes its satellite detection in the ocean, numerical modelling of its movement at sea, its monitoring, and the study of the conditions that promote the arrival of sargassum on coastlines. As part of these studies, efforts are made to involve citizens in monitoring sargassum and to jointly seek solutions for its management. This workbook has been developed by these institutions in order to contribute to secondary-level education, using sargassum as the central focus of study.
