This dataset corresponds to raw and interpreted direct simple shear tests performed on soft clays at the norwegian geotechnical institute. The tests were composed of episodic cyclic sequences with varying number of cycles, episodes and applied stress levels. the data composed of stress, strain behaviour of soil and interpreted parameters (strength, stiffness and coefficient of consolidation) The dataset was used to calibrate a theoretical framework to characterize effects of cyclic loading interevend with consolidation periods.

Abstract

This dataset corresponds to raw and interpreted direct simple shear tests performed on soft clays at the norwegian geotechnical institute. The tests were composed of episodic cyclic sequences with varying number of cycles, episodes and applied stress levels. the data composed of stress, strain behaviour of soil and interpreted parameters (strength, stiffness and coefficient of consolidation) The dataset was used to calibrate a theoretical framework to characterize effects of cyclic loading interevend with consolidation periods.
